a day in cairo (in transit)
the pool area turned out to be very nice & i had the kiddies pool basically to myself! it didn't take long to remember the strength on the egyptian sun and i polished my tan within a couple om minutes.
after my uncle finished work i met him at hotel baron with a taxi and we were off to giza. crossed the nile and spottted a lonely windsurfer! our driver was quite nice and i persuaded him that as part of the E£100 pay i wanted him to be a tour guide too! took some gr8 pics of cairo at high speed. the pyramids are quite impressive if you consider they're a couple of thousand yrs old. the area was closed (after 16:00) and you could only enter if you bribed the local "official" by taking a package deal. not for us. driver drove us home via a different route after some pics.
had a bottle of (egyptian) wine wit the guys from sa & nowvwaiting at cai intl for flight.
time to see if i can force my passport and boarding pass out of egyptair - as it wasn't ready when i pitched here 20mins ago.
shokran (arabic for thanks)
